"New Providence Launches First Annual Reverend Caldwell Day With 22 Charities, Record Donations, and a Town That Showed Up"
Bringing the community together to support children with hair loss and mental health awareness
COPE's fundraising efforts power everything we do β from peer support workshops to hair donations, hospital visits, and mental health awareness campaigns. We partner with local businesses, attend community events, and welcome donations year-round through Venmo at @copedonations.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping children with hair loss and supporting students navigating mental health challenges in our community.
COPE proudly participated in the first annual Reverend Caldwell Day β a borough-wide day of giving organized by the America 250 New Providence committee in honor of a local Revolutionary War patriot. Stationed outside the Prestige Diner, COPE members welcomed neighbors throughout the morning, sharing our mission and accepting donations to support children with hair loss.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of New Providence residents, COPE raised over $700 and received 3 hair donations to be made into wigs β a remarkable result for a single morning, and a meaningful contribution to a record-breaking community event that featured 22 charities.
Read More βThe first annual Reverend Caldwell Day was launched by the America 250 New Providence committee to honor a local Revolutionary War patriot and the borough's "Pioneer spirit" of giving and sacrifice.
Charities representing causes from veterans support to children's health were stationed across town. COPE was honored to be one of them β set up at the Prestige Diner from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
From cash donations to inches of hair pledged on the spot, residents of every age stopped by to support our mission. The energy, generosity, and warmth of the community made this a day we won't forget.
